Loyola Scholars Summer Institute Teachers
The Loyola Scholars Academic Achievement & Leadership Program at Creighton Prep is currently accepting applications for Summer Institute teachers for June 2019.
We are looking for teachers in math, English/Language Arts and science for sixth through eighth-grade boys on mornings Monday through Friday from June 3-28. Compensation is competitive, offering $3,000 per subject area for teaching three sections – one section per grade level. Adjustments will be made if the candidate is not able to teach all three sections. Candidates with experience in either junior high or high school level teaching are preferred.
The Summer Institute is held in June and is a part of the Loyola Scholars year-round, three-year academic and leadership achievement program. The 45 scholars are sixth to eighth-grade males who are academically talented, have leadership potential and whose households have significant financial need. Some of the job responsibilities include:
Prepare and present course material in a professional manner.
Implement pre and post-test assessments and track student progress.
Use of a variety of engaging methods in presenting and evaluating the course content.
Creatively and enthusiastically engage students in the learning process.
Maintain respect and discipline in the classroom.
Communicate promptly and effectively with the program team.
