2020 Summer Sports & Enrichment Camps

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to cancel all summer camps at this time except for those involving incoming freshmen for football and basketball. The incoming freshmen camps are contingent upon further loosening of restrictions by the governor.

Refund Procedures

  1. 06.23.20 Update: Refunds for all cancelled camps will be processed using the original payment method through PayPal. You can expect to see a credit show up 3-5 days after you receive the email cancellation notice.

  2. Since the freshman football and basketball camps have not been cancelled, we are not issuing refunds at this time. If you would like to cancel a freshman camp, please send us an email request with your name, the camp name, and your address. 

  3. Please contact us if you have any questions.

At our camps, we emphasize the importance of the skills and fundamentals of basketball to all campers. The camp will allow each camper to improve his overall game and give him the groundwork to improve his game throughout the summer. Our campers will drill and compete within their age groups in various skill competitions such as dribbling, passing, rebounding, shooting and defense. Beyond individual skill development, we emphasize the importance of teamwork, getting good grades and sportsmanship.

STAFF
The staff includes Josh Luedtke, the varsity coach, and basketball staff. Also, current and former players will be on hand to help assist the camp and work with the future players.

Basketball Academy (Freshmen) - CANCELLED

The coaching staff at Creighton Prep invites you to the Creighton Prep Basketball Academy. We will be spending seven nights working on the fundamentals of the game as well as live competition. We will be teaching form shooting, ball-handling, footwork, post play, defense, team offense, team defense and other fundamentals of the game. This is a great introduction to incoming freshmen who have an interest in playing basketball at Prep.

    If you have students interested in innovation and creation in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) then this is the camp for them! Activities will include programming Adafruit Circuit playground to make electronic projects using 3D printing, laser cutting and some basic circuitry.

    This camp is for boys seeking age-specific instruction relating to playing the quarterback position. Quarterbacks will learn the D.R.E.A.M. fundamentals: Drops, Reads, Execution, Accuracy, and Mechanics. QB’s will participate in age-appropriate-competitions with an emphasis on FUN. This group will also receive “Chalk-Talk” and video instruction relating to recognizing secondary coverages. Participants will also be instructed in proper warm-up-techniques and run-action-footwork.

    The philosophy of the camp is to have fun and learn the fundamentals of the game of football. The camp is intended for players of all experience levels and campers will be separated by grade level. Each camper will participate in competitive drills and games utilizing teamwork and emphasizing sportsmanship.

    This camp is for any registered incoming freshman and is open to all experience levels. All freshmen who plan on playing football in the fall are encouraged to attend.

    The coaching staff at Creighton Prep joins the coaching staff at Marian High to provide a four-day summer camp. We will spend each day giving an overview of the events of speech and debate with an emphasis on literature interpretation, public speaking, and Congressional debate. From selecting a performance category, finding, researching, writing and preparing the performance, participants will be guided on a step-by-step individualized basis and critiqued by two head coaches, their assistant coaches, recent alumni, and student members of their current squads.
