The University of Nebraska Omaha's Dual Enrollment Program offers opportunities for high school students with GPAs of 3.0 or better to earn college credit by taking Advanced Placement courses. Some of our students now have two options for earning credit. Some will have a new opportunity.

With UNO's program, students may dual enroll in English, math, psychology, U.S. history, physics and statistics courses as long as they are taking the AP course at Prep. For $250 per course, the student will receive credit for a UNO course as well as have his AP test paid for. With some of UNO's courses, if the student gets a 3, 4, or 5 on the AP test, he is then given credit for additional coursework at UNO. He may use his UNO credits if he attends UNO or transfer the credits to another school. UNO indicates that their transferability percentage is 92 percent.

The cost is $250/course. The fee includes the cost of taking the AP Exam, if applicable. The Dual Enrollment Director at UNO is Kelly Malone (402-554-3810).
