  • Review the course schedule for each son on PowerSchool and submit any requests for course changes.

  • Order books and apps online, making sure that any books are scheduled to arrive by August 12.

  • Purchase the summer reading book on Amazon if you didn't already buy it from your son's English teacher.

  • Have your son read it. He should also review the study guide to help him focus on the important parts of the story.

  • Read over the Student-Parent Handbook and check that school clothing and hair style meet the dress code outlined there.

  • By July 31, one parent needs to log on to PowerSchool to update student and parent information and complete the handbook agreement. Start by selecting Annual Update in the left column under each son's name.

  • Confirm that parent mobile phones are registered with our emergency text notification service by texting "yes" to 68453. It is okay to repeat this process.

  • IF the student has a life-threatening condition such as severe asthma, allergies, diabetes or seizures, submit an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) to the Dean of Student’s Office

  • IF the student needs to take prescription medication while at school, complete and return to the Dean’s Office the Prescription Medication/Authorization to Carry and Self-Administer Form which requires a physician’s signature.

  • All students trying out for a sport (both NSAA and club) must complete and return the physical examination form or one from your doctor to the High School Office prior to participating.

  • Find your son's locker assignment on PowerSchool.

  • Purchase your son's parking permit for $10 prior to registration day if he is going to drive to school. After that, they may be purchased in the Dean of Students Office.

  • After Friday, July 12, preorder school photos or download an order form that your son can take to registration with a check payable to Jeremy Johnson Photography.

  • Have your son purchase a school-issued, gray-faced padlock for $5 at Freshman Orientation if he is a freshman or at registration if he is a sophomore, junior or senior and needs a new one.

  • Senior parents, check photo requirements for seniors at registration.
