Dear Beach BASH 2019 Attendees,
I look forward to seeing you at Beach BASH 2019 this Saturday, April 27 when we will gather in a wave of fun and enthusiastic bidding to support our deserving young men! Below are some details for the evening that I wanted to share.
The suggested attire for attendees is beach chic, white of khaki encouraged. For the men, this can mean a short-sleeve or long-sleeve shirt, even a sport coat, plus khaki or linen pants and good, comfortable shoes. For the women, a colorful blouse and khakis or white jeans or a spring dress with nice sandals or flats.
Parking and Check-In
Plan to arrive at Prep for 5 p.m. Mass in the Skinner Chapel with yours truly or the cocktail reception in the Heider Center. Please park in the east lot or ask one of the Prep student valets there to park your car. Then check in at the Smith Atrium just inside the Heider Center main entrance.
At that time, make sure your credit card number is on file for bidding at the event. If you prefer instead to pay for your purchases by cash, check or through a foundation account before leaving for the night, those options are available, too.
Silent Auction Bidding
Silent auction bidding starts at 12 p.m. when you receive a text on your smartphone with a link to the bidding site. See the complete event catalog here to get your bidding strategy in place now. Silent auction tables open in the Heider Center at 5 p.m. with the cocktail reception.
Please be sure to bring a fully charged mobile phone with you to Prep. If your battery runs low, just ask one of the student BidPal Geniuses to help you continue bidding. They can also help those at your table who want to bid but did not bring a phone with them.
Dinner and Live Auction Bidding
After the cocktail reception, plan to enjoy a great dinner followed by the live auction starting at 8 p.m., when you can raise your paddle to donate and bid on a special collection of dinners, trips, event tickets and other items. See the live auction section of the catalog here.
Your attendance and support of Prep through Beach BASH 2019 means a great deal to me. Thank you, and let's make it a record-setting evening for our students and their families, especially those in the greatest need.
