Loyola Scholars Complement Classroom Learning with Field Trips
Posted 07/16/2018 06:10PM

As part of their attendance at the four-week Loyola Summer Institute in June, students in the Loyola Scholars: The Heider Academic and Leadership Achievement Program were treated to a variety of area field trips each Friday to complement their classroom learning at Prep.

On Friday, June 8, the students visited Creighton University, Gallup and Interstate Printing. The following Friday, they were at Le Bouillon restaurant in the Old Market, Air Methods at Millard Airport and First National Technology Solutions. On June 22, they visited Wenninghoff Farms, Dundee Bank and the Immanuel Fontenelle home and, on the 29th, the group traveled to Methodist Hospital and Lexus of Omaha.

Creighton Prep would like to thank the following for their assistance in making these visits possible: Fr. Daniel Hendrickson, SJ of Creighton University, Fr. Nathan Wendt, SJ of Creighton Prep, Todd Johnson ’84 of Gallup, Bill Peter ’65 and Jim Mancuso ’79 of Interstate Printing, Paul Kulik ’92 of Le Bouillon, David Haller ’80 of Air Methods, past parent Dan Caldwell of First National Technology Solutions, Paul Wenninghoff ’76 of Wenninghoff Farms, Jeff Royal ’94 of Dundee Bank, current parent Mrs. Josie Abboud and Dr. Joe McCaslin ’84 of Methodist Hospital, Tom Carlisle ’78 of MCL Construction and Mickey Anderson ’86 of Baxter Auto Group.
