Hockey Team Completes Fine Season

Congratulations to Head Coach Sean Talcott and the Prep hockey team on a third place finish in the regular season and an overall record of 19-9-2. Season highlights included four players being named to the All Star game in February, including seniors RJ Moffatt, Grant Shepherd, Will Steinauer and Conor Strumberger. RJ also ended the regular season as the league’s points leader with 62 (representing 38 goals and 24 assists).

At the Omaha Hockey Club banquet for the high school teams held on Sunday, April 8, Prep alumnus and Head Coach Sean Talcott ‘01 was named Coach of the Year and senior RJ Moffatt was honored as the league's Most Valuable Player in addition to being named First Team All State and receiving the Don Martineau Sportsmanship Award (continuing a Prep tradition as Will Martin '14 and John Abboud '15 won it previously). Receiving awards for academic achievement were Danny Begley '20, Vincent Cacioppo '21, Max Cipolla '19, RJ Moffatt '18, Grant Shepherd '18, Will Steinauer '18, Conor Strumberger '18, Dylan Tusa '18 and Owen Watts '18.
