Five Points Bank Team in the American Legion World Series

The Five Points Bank Senior American Legion baseball team of Creighton Prep players went unbeaten in the Central Plains Regional Tournament in Dickinson, North Dakota, August 2-6. With the championship secured at that tournament, the team ensured its participation in the 91st edition of the American Legion World Series to be held in Shelby, North Carolina, August 10-15.

At regionals, Prep defeated teams from Papillion, Nebraska; Dickinson, North Dakota; Johnston, Iowa and Pierre, South Dakota.

At the 2017 American Legion World Series, Five Points Bank will begin pool play on Thursday, August 10 against teams from Nevada, Michigan and Massachusetts. The winners and second place teams from the two divisions then play in the semifinals on Monday, August 14 to decide the participants for the championship game on Tuesday, August 15.
