Check Out Prep's FaithCP Site and App

Campus Ministry invites parents to submit a prayer request for their sons or for Creighton Prep as we start the new school year. Go to the FaithCP site to submit a prayer request and download Prep’s daily prayer app to your Android or Apple device.

FaithCP is a prayer app that provides daily scripture, reflections and prayers grounded in the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits. All prayer requests will be remembered at our Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning Masses in the Skinner Chapel and at the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Tuesday, August 28.

Volunteer Opportunities

Reminder on Prep Moms Committee Signups for 2018-2019

Helping out with Prep Moms committees throughout the 2018-2019 school year is a great way to get involved and meet other members of the Prep family, and, with school just underway, I would like to ask you to identify the committees in which you have an interest in serving by clicking HERE.

The Prep Moms committees will also be involved in other August events such as the Welcome Dance tonight and Curriculum Night on Tuesday, August 21, so please try to visit the website and sign up for committees as soon as possible.

When the committees in which you expressed interest need volunteers for particular events, you will receive an email directing you to a SignUpGenius page where you can volunteer for specific tasks.

Prep Moms also has periodic meetings throughout the school year, and anyone in the Prep family is welcome to attend. Our first meeting is on Tuesday, September 11 at 7 p.m. in the Carta Hall of Fame Room just inside the Heider Center entrance. Additional meeting dates are:

November 13

January 15

March 26

April 16

Many of these meetings will have a "featured Prep speaker" such as Principal Jim Bopp and/or President Fr. Tom Neitzke, SJ, and they are a great way to learn what is going on at Prep!

I look forward to your participation in Prep Moms this year! And please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Judy Pritza

Prep Moms President, 2018-2019

A Night Without a Home Sleep Out and Refugee Simulation – Saturday, August 25

Creighton Prep's English, Theology, and Campus Ministry departments are working with Lutheran Family Services to host a refugee simulation on the evening of Saturday, August 25. At that time, Prep will be hosting a group of refugees from our Omaha community who have generously offered to share their stories and take the participants through a simulation of the five stages of being a refugee.

The student and faculty participants will then be setting up tents on Prep's upper field to continue the simulation through a variety of activities and by spending the night on the field. The experience will conclude with Mass on Sunday morning, August 26.

While a night outside cannot come close to simulating the experiences of refugees around the world, the goal of this experience is to promote awareness, advocacy, and compassion.

We are looking for students who would like to practice solidarity by participating in this experience. Those who are interested should pick up a signup form from their English or theology teacher, or from the Campus Ministry office. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Dave Lawler at dlawler@creightonprep.org

Baseball Teams Wins Third Consecutive NSAA Class A State Title
Posted 05/17/2018 05:03PM

Congratulations to Head Coach Pat Mooney, his staff and the varsity baseball players on winning their third consecutive NSAA Class A state title on Thursday, May 17 with a 7-2 victory over Millard South, a team that had beaten the Junior Jays the previous night by a score of 7-4.

Senior pitcher Dylan Phillips threw a complete game, allowing just three hits and two runs, and his great effort was supported by a Prep offense that put up a flurry of hits in the 6th inning to break open a 1-1 contest.

This is the program’s 15th state title and seventh since 2001.
