![]() Dear Prep Parents & Students,
Today, the NSAA announced that only players, coaches and family members on a list will be allowed to attend the state boys basketball championship games in Lincoln. The games will be played as previously scheduled - times and locations will remain the same.
Creighton Prep is in the process of generating a list of those who will be allowed entry to the games with a proper ID. The list only includes varsity players, coaches, and select school administrators, in addition to players' parents, step-parents, siblings living at home, and grandparents. If you're not on the list you won't be admitted. Additionally, those on the list will need to purchase a ticket at the venue since pre-purchased tickets will not be honored.
The decision "to protect the health and safety of the student-athletes, their families and the public at large" was based on recommendations from the Mayor's Office of the City of Lincoln, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department and the Nebraska Department of Education.
The NSAA is working with local media to video stream and/or televise the games. As the details become available, we will share them on Prep's Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram or you can visit the NSAA website. The pregame event, previously scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in Lincoln, has been cancelled. Let's continue to do what we can to support our team and cheer them on from a distance.
Please keep an eye on Friday's Parent Pulse for any additional updates pertaining to COVID-19. At this time, there are no planned changes for the school schedule or other activities.
