Creighton Prep would like to thank MCL Construction for the great tour and information presented to our Loyola Scholars on Friday, June 16.
During the tour of the construction site for the new Creighton University School of Dentistry, the students learned about the work currently going on in the project, from steel construction to tasks related to the heating and air conditioning system. Loyola Scholars: The Heider Academic & Leadership Achievement Program is an exciting initiative to prepare academically talented 6th-to-8th-grade males with leadership potential and from families with significant financial need for a college preparatory education. The program was established with a $10 million gift from the Heider family that was announced on Friday, January 8, 2016.
A total of 30 students are in the program now, and they are attending the four-week Loyola Summer Institute at Prep to study in areas such as reading comprehension, math skills, science, leadership skills and Ignatian spirituality.
