Creighton Prep was honored on Tuesday, March 28 to welcome professionals from a number of disciplines including architecture, aviation, engineering, finance, law, law enforcement, medicine and music to speak to sophomores during Career Day. Among the crowd of speakers were many alumni of the school as well.
During community period, sophomores interested in various career fields were treated to presentations by speakers that also included questions and answers with the students.
Director of Guidance Steve Wertzberger noted, "This event helps to turn a classroom activity into a personal story as many of our guests emphasize the desire to use their God given talents to give back to the community as well as the importance of a quality education."
"I think our alumni and the others who joined them enjoyed the opportunity to speak to the students about their careers and how they got to where they are today,” said Director of Alumni Relations Max Huerter '09. “It also allowed them to get out of the office and do their part to inspire the next generation in the workforce."
The development and management of Career Day is a combined effort of the Counseling and Advancement departments at Prep.
