Course Description:

one semester writing course Objectives Construct news stories using the inverted pyramid Employ the techniques of interviewing Edit and proofread Define libel and know the student's responsibilities in publishing stories Grades: Because meeting deadlines is integral to good journalism, all
late work will be docked points. If absent, assignments are due upon your return. Grades are
kept on a point system.
The number of points accrued by a student at the end of the semester will be divided by the number
of possible points. All rules concerning dress code, attendance, behavior and
