First Quarter: Students will review the computer keyboard using the touch method. Students will be introduced to the numeric keypad. Proper keyboarding techniques and one-minute writings will be the basis for determining a quarter grade. The effort grade will be based on the student’s ability to key using proper techniques—no peeking!

Second Quarter: Students will use their keyboarding skills to create and format various documents using Microsoft Word features. Final grade will be determined by scoring 70% or better on assigned projects.
